About
I'm a communications and marketing professional based in Czech Republic. I came to it sideways, from an environmental technology research career, and still think myself a researcher first.
I spent almost six years at UCT Prague pursuing a PhD in environmental technology, researching the spread of antimicrobial resistance in water and wastewater treatment and distribution systems, running internal and international grants, publishing, being a part of and building project teams. I considered myself a researcher through and through. Eventually it became clear that the department wouldn't have room for me to continue my research career, so I left without finishing it.
What I did have, from those years, was real experience running communications. I'd handled socials and outreach for the faculty and for my own department almost the whole time. That's what became Communications Manager at REGARTIS, where I now run marketing and comms in a small team: content, newsletters, blog, webinars, video, training facilitation, events, advertising, branding, graphics — whatever the work needs.
Alongside that, I'm a founding committee member of CZEPAR (a Czech platform on antibiotic resistance), one of the earliest members of H2Ospodař, and I occasionally take on freelance comms, marketing, branding, and graphics work on the side.
